Development of Koh Samui island: increasing the frequency of flights

The Koh Samui island enjoys an important development for both tourist and property. Increasing the frequency of flights to the island will allow to cope with a growing traffic on the island and to support its development.

Koh Samui Airport has received permission to increase the frequency of its flights after authorities were convinced that there would be no harm to the environment, particularly in terms of noise.

Since November 24, 2014 the Civil Aviation Department has authorized Koh Samui Airport, led by Bangkok Airways, to increase from 36 to 50 flights per day.

This authorization is timely for high season especially popular among foreign tourists.
